How Are Silicone Resin Molds Cleaned?

As the epoxy resin used to create these molds is particularly delicate, cleaning silicone resin molds can be trickier than cleaning ordinary ones. Follow these methods to clean your silicone resin molds:

- Soak the mold in warm, soapy water for 10 to 15 minutes before using a soft brush to clean it gently.

- Before putting the mold away, give it a thorough drying and a clean water rinse.

- Try soaking the mold in rubbing alcohol for 5–10 minutes before cleaning it with a soft brush if the resin is still attached to the surface. Avoid using corrosive substances like acetone since they can harm the silicone surface.

- Never wash or put your silicone resin molds in the dishwasher.
