Silicone History

The predecessor of silicone products factory silicone gifts was actually PVC soft rubber (micro injection) gifts. 

Twenty one years ago, this industry created many myths, and even today, many people still talk about it. 

However, due to the increasing demand for environmental protection in recent years, PVC materials themselves are no longer able to meet customer requirements. 

In addition, mature processes and equipment have led to product homogenization, resulting in an increasingly fierce price war in the PVC industry.

Considering this situation, the gift industry urgently needs an environmentally friendly material to replace PVC. 

At this time, people have found that silicone, commonly used in pacifiers and tableware, may be the best choice. So, silicone gifts emerged. 

The gift industry products often have a variety of colors and precise patterns, while liquid silicone materials have the characteristics of high concentration and strong viscosity. 

Because it is not as convenient to add colors as PVC soft glue, multi-color silicone gifts have higher costs compared to others, 

and the quality is unstable, the delivery cycle is long, and there are limitations to various aspects of color patterns. 

This has deterred many customers from using it on a large scale.

However, some in the industry also want to use printing processes such as transfer printing, screen printing, and transfer printing to compensate for their shortcomings. 

However, due to the inability of silicone ink to dry naturally, heating and baking need to be stopped for each printing, which obviously cannot fundamentally solve these problems. 

And because printing can only be controlled in 3D printing, it results in the inability to display product colors flat and the vividness of the patterns cannot be fully reflected. 

Nevertheless, some customers in prosperous regions still purchase based on the environmentally friendly properties of silicone. 

However, due to the singularity of product color, customers have already raised higher requirements for silicone gifts, 

and the precision of more colors and patterns has become the main demand. 

Therefore, silicone gifts are eager to break through this issue.
